Introduction

Since his call to the leadership of Breman Fawomanyo as the Regent of the land on behalf of the Yaa Akoto Family, Nana Kwadwo Tanno II has continuously attracted good will and attention to the community. Various development projects and programmes have taken place that has added value to the living conditions of his people. Donations have been made to the only basic school in the community, good Christian administrative institutions have been set up for a harmonious and godly coexistence of the people. There is also a community Implementation Committee set up to spearhead the implementation of the vision of the Nana Tanno II, Yaa Akoto Family and members of the community.

It is this progressive and forward looking attitude that conceived the organization of friends and family as well as well-wishers of Breman Fawomanyo to come together and champion the development needs of the people and improve the living conditions in Fawomanyo and the surrounding communities. Nana Tanno II also in consultation with the community elders and members have identified some key development projects that should be carried out to improve the lives of his people. The coming together would therefore also offer a platform to emphasize these projects and launch them so the need support can be galvanized for implementation. It would be the first time members of the community who have travelled outside the district and region would have a reason to come back home.

Fawomanyo as a Christian village is unique in its structuring of an administration. Being fully Family-owned lands, Fawomanyo is a non-denominational Christian village unlike Abokobi which is Presbyterian administered. This unique outlook allows for a united collaborative efforts for groups resident in the village and all who are willing to lend their support to bring about an improved standard of living for the people.

The report encapsulates the pre-festival events, chronicles each of the days during the 5-day event, the way forward and post festival activities undertaken by Nana Tanno II in the good interest and promotion of Fawomanyo.
