Ascention Trust (UK) Maiden Visit to Breman Fawomanyo 22nd and 23rd October 2018

It has been a great joy for God’s people in Breman Fawomanye in the central region to receive a delegation from The Ascension Trust from the UK. Following the visit by Rev. Susan Oheneba Graham to Fawomanyo and her donation of books to the school and Community library (yet to be constructed), she introduced us to the Ascension trust who are also burdened with the spread of the gospel and ministry to humankind. The group got interested in the Christian Village concept and decided to embark on a fact finding mission to Breman Fawomanyo.

A trip was arranged for the team leader, Rev. Les Isaac to first visit Fawomanyo before the arrival of the entire UK delegation. It was a great experience for him as he expressed great joy and happiness to be on the land called Breman Fawomanyo. He applauded the concept of Christian village and prayed for the success of the vision of Nana Kwadwo Tanno II and the Yaa Akoto Family for the people of Breman Fawomanyo.

The first trip by the team leader was led by Venerable George Ansah, brother to Nana Tanno II, who gave a lot of historical lectures about the formation of the village. He mentioned what has been accomplished and efforts being made to bring progressiveness to the people on the land and even beyond. On this visit, Rev Isaac informed the Fawomanyo delegation that the team were on a fact-finding mission to explore and understand what was going on in the community. This would inform how best they can support the efforts of Nana Tanno II and his elders in bringing about development to the people. He however, added that there would be some activities like health screening, health education and donation as well as engagement with the school children.

On the 22nd October 2018, the team from UK (Ascension Trust) was ready to set off to the Christian village called Breman Fawomanye. A delegation from the Palace of Nana Tanno II met the group in Accra, McCarty Hill for the journey to Breman Fawomanyo.

As the screening was going on, Minister Bridges was on the school play field to interact with the pupils through playing of various games. She introduced the school children to different kinds of games and they were really excited to participate. The scorching sun was not a hindrance to their excitement and participation in the games.
